Meran/Merano Spa
Meran/Merano is the South Tyrol's second-largest city (after the provincial capital of Bozen/Bolzano). It is located in a valley basin surrounded by mountains and has been known since the 19th Century in particular as a spa.
Meran/Merano has a number of sightseeing attractions, including:
- The Old Town with the historic Bozner Lauben
- The Passer Promenade with the Spa Center
- The Winter and Summer Promenade
- The Gilf Promenade with the Gilf Gultch
- The St. Nikolaus Parish Church
- The Tappeiner Path with the Powder Tower
- The Municipal Theatre (built in the Jugend Style in 1899)
- The thermal springs
