On Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays he’ll be accompanying us to the Passiria mountains – and already looks forward to having a nice chat with you. In the course of an evening film presentation he’ll also be talking about his many adventures on distant mountains: the 8,000 m peaks of the Himalayas, as well as K2 and Nanga Parbat, etc. And of course he’d be pleased to autograph one of his many books for you.

Hans Kammerlander

Hans Kammerlander was born the sixth child of an Alpine farmer’s family on 6 December 1956 in Ahorn/South Tyrol and still lives there today. In his early childhood he began climbing the mountains in the neighbourhood. He then went on to conquer the Dolomites, the great rock faces of the Alps and some of the highest mountains in the world. Kammerlander has stood on the summit of thirteen peaks at 8,000 m above sea level. He climbed seven of them together with Reinhold Messner. Kammerlander is a state registered mountaineering and skiing guide.
