Skiing holiday in South Tyrol times 3
The Stroblhof’s top location for keen skiers
A skiing holiday in South Tyrol has many different aspects: the rustic, secluded ski area that scores with charm and idyllic scenery, the ski adventure area that wows skiers and snowboarders, the magical family ski area where the young and old carve their turns in front of a spectacular setting .... Some people find it difficult to decide but we can provide them with assistance: There are no fewer than three ski areas that will impress you within a radius of just under 20 km! The Plan/Pfelders, Giovo-Racines/Jaufen-Ratschings and Merano/Meran 2000 ski areas with hundreds of kilometres of perfectly prepared slopes, modern lifts and guaranteed snow are ready for your fantastic skiing holiday in South Tyrol until well into the spring.
Along with beautiful pistes, the area also offers cosy huts where you can take a break and sample the local selection of wines and ales, bask in the sun, and stock up on calories with traditional dishes served in a quaint Alpine stube. Why resist?
So that you can really enjoy your skiing holiday in South Tyrol to the full, we take you to the bottom stations in the Plan/Pfelders and Giovo-Racines/Jaufen-Ratschings skiing areas in just 20 minutes with our hotel’s own shuttle bus free of charge. But that’s not all though: one promising item on our weekly programme is the guided ski safari where we show you the most stunning spots in South Tyrol. Together we follow the Lagazuoi circular route, ski in the tracks of the First World War or head for the Sciliar/Schlern witches on the Alpe di Siusi/Seiser Alm. A stop at a rustic mountain inn including hearty traditional snack and chilling out on the sunny terrace is of course also an essential part of a skiing holiday in South Tyrol!
As the options for skiing in South Tyrol are sheer endless, we of the Stroblhof are happy to help you make the most of such variety with a host of useful tips. Just let us know if you need advice, and we will point you to our own favourite spots. We also encourage you to share your experience and exchange information with the other hotel guests. After all, the best thing about a ski holiday in South Tyrol is that you can always enhance it with your personal choice of highlights. Tell us about the ski experiences that made your day special and bring back home fantastic memories that will help you go through the daily humdrum with a smile!
Children on a skiing holiday in South Tyrol
Little rippers travel with our children’s entertainer to the Plan/Pfelders ski area every day, which is 20 minutes away from the hotel. They learn how to ski on the nursery and practice slopes through play and once the fun on the slopes is over they go back to the hotel again for more entertainment. After the 2-hour lesson, they share their experiences around the children’s lunch table and then laugh and play at the Mini Club in the afternoon.
This is often the beginning of beautiful friendships that outlast the ski holiday. And who knows, maybe the little friends will meet again at the Stroblhof in the future! We are always so happy to see the kids have the time of their lives here with us and enjoy their ski holiday in South Tyrol to the fullest!
